We are a couple of lifelong campers that, after 30+ years of camping in parks and the wilderness of Ontario and other parts of Canada, are finally starting to come close to mastering the art of camping.
Don't get us wrong...camping is always evolving and, with the amount of new gadgets and toys as well as people trying new styles of camping every day to challenge themselves, the possibilities of perfecting the camping experience will go on forever.
To that we say: "Bring it on!"...because unlike some campers out there, we are ready, willing and able to learn new things and adapt as well because we have open minds and have been doing that already for a long, long time.
Camping Gear Reviews
We love buying new things. We love inventing new things. There is only so long you can sit around the fire pit or picnic table and eat and drink your face off telling stories about bigfoot, dogman and other mysterious creatures of the night. Most of the fun in camping comes with testing and putting to good use the gear that you bring.
Here at BCR, we love to review all kinds of camping gear. So, throughout our site, you will find down-to-earth discussions and explanations and ratings about the gear we test, we hear about, and the stuff we are looking forward to getting our hands on. We won't fluff and say everything is the next best thing...so don't expect there only to be pros and no cons for the "stuff" we review. Our campground reviews will focus on the places we have been, mostly in Ontario, and in some other parts of Canada. We are always venturing further and further away from home, so our camping paradises will continue to expand with time. We love rating campgrounds and discussing the pros and cons of each in our search for the perfect place to pitch a tent or sit around a fire.
